Background

On this project we were working in a small, and devoted, team the app called Smartbil (Smart car). By giving the user insight into their own driving pattern we intended to lower the number of accidents on Norwegian roads. Collaborating with a behavioural psychologist we encouraged our users, through the app, to use safe and environmental friendly means of transportation. By giving our users challenges, and applying a point system that the user could trade in for cash prizes, we were able to increase some of our users driving scores.

Point system and driving style

Using OKR`s and hypotheses in the process of making this app, we slowly made it more and more engaging. Sadly, Smartbil was shut down by SpareBank 1. But Fremtind still uses the data gathered to communicate the dangers of driving while using your phone to different media outlets.
