Background

Insurance advisors in SpareBank 1 needed an application less governed by the limits of a system, and more in line with their natural conversation with their customers. In this project we had one goal—to shape the application around the conversation between the advisor and the customer, not the system. 

An overview of the customer

Because a conversation is fluid, and in some cases random, we wanted to set the application up to be more flexible. The result is a tool to keep the conversation going about insurance, and to adjust accordingly without strictly steering the conversation. But sometimes, to not get off track, we added a simple guide to point out the direction for the advisor with a smart module to calculate the customers needs based on some carefully crafted metrics.

Detailed view of the insurances

The visual aspect of the design is mostly dark and have a lot of dark elements. We did this to make the advisor feel comfortable using the application over a longer period of time and not get eyestrains caused by too much light. Animation was also a key factor to make the application feel reliable and easy to use.

New offer based on the customers life and situation

We knew we succeeded with the design of this when we heard the story of a relatively new advisor making a similar sale as to a much more experienced advisor.
